Database Spotlight: Gale Virtual Reference Library & ProQuest

Did you know your Clark Labs Account username and password can connect you with millions of articles from encyclopedias, academic journals, newspapers, magazines, and more? As a Clark student or employee, you have free access to over 130 databases!

Here's a spotlight on two:

Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL)

If you're just starting your research, give Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) a try. GVRL has encyclopedia articles that introduce you to a topic. GVRL is similar to Wikipedia, and it's a credible, academic, and appropriate source of background information for your college assignments. GVRL connects you to hundreds of subject-specific encyclopedias and reference books, hand-picked by Clark Librarians.

ProQuest

ProQuest is a great place to research once you know a little bit about your topic. If you're looking for news coverage, magazine articles, or scholarly, peer-reviewed research, check out ProQuest.
