About the Reference and Instruction Department

Reference and Instruction librarians provide instruction, based on Information Literacy Outcomes, to learners in a variety of formats and venues, including one-on-one service at the Ask a Librarian desk, 24/7 Ask a Librarian services, and personalized instruction in both classroom and virtual environments.

Library Hours

Clark College Libraries are open during the hours listed below except during holidays and quarter breaks. Emergency situations, such as dangerous weather conditions or a power outage, may also impact our hours. If you have questions, please contact us before risking a journey.

Library return boxes are always open to accept returns.

Clark College Libraries provide a variety of collections to support the diverse needs and interests of our patrons. Collection Development Policy.

All library patrons must present their library card to borrow items. Current Clark College students and employees may use their College ID card (students may acquire one through the Bookstore) as their library card, but may also choose to sign up for a separate library card. Library cards may not be shared. 

To sign up for a library card, patrons must agree to comply with the complete Borrowing Policy and provide the following:

Students may reserve a group study room for mutual assignments or projects. No clubs, social gatherings, music practice, or individual study.

• Only a currently enrolled Clark College student can reserve a room. Reservations may be made online or in person. The student making the online request must be present with at least 2 other members at the Check Out Desk at time reserved. Library staff may override any booking.
